The Airborne Sensors & Avionics Integration Department is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for Raytheon’s Indianapolis, IN location.
What You Will Do
Maintain a lab test environment for engineering userbase by troubleshooting and correcting problems on a dynamic and rapid basis.
Coordinate with a cross-discipline team to keep the onsite labs functioning.
Maintain and expand a VMWare Horizon environment used by multiple teams with various requirements.
Perform software load validations on various avionics equipment.
Update locally hosted government maintained/supplied software tools.
Integrate new avionics equipment into an existing lab environment with minimal service disruptions.
Perform validation testing on in-house developed lab tools and assist in future development practices.
Work in a secure environment to perform hardware integrations and assist with software testing.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of prior systems engineering experience.
Experience with requirements management and/or developing systems engineering products, such as system-level specifications, requirement allocation spreadsheets, or verification cross-reference matrices.
Troubleshooting and/or root cause analysis experience.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with system lifecycle and product maturity (design reviews, internal gate reviews).
Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (Cameo Enterprise Architecture).
Experience preparing and presenting reports and briefings.
Experience with modeling and simulation, agile DevSecOps delivery pipelines, software development principles, Digital Thread concepts and realization in the development lifecycle.
Experience with tools such as Matlab/Simulink, DOORS, Cameo, VMWare Horizon, and AzureDevOps.
Experience with Python and C programming languages.
Ability to build relationships and bridge the gap between HW and SW to bring new capabilities to fruition.
