Join our Digital Technology team as an Agile Systems Engineering Leader, where you will guide high performing teams and help shape the future of engineering at Collins Aerospace. In this role, you will lead cross-functional initiatives to modernize our systems engineering ecosystem, champion model-based engineering, and deliver digital capabilities that truly make a difference for our engineers, programs, and customers.

As a lead, Product Owner, or service manager for tools and digital solutions, you will set the vision, prioritize the work, and ensure our teams deliver high value, high impact capabilities. You’ll collaborate across engineering disciplines, work closely with internal customers, and influence technical direction across the enterprise—all while fostering a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement. This position offers the opportunity to tackle complex challenges, accelerate digital transformation, and empower teams to build nextgeneration aerospace and defense solutions.

**This is a hybrid role at one of Collins’ major sites. **

What YOU will do:

  • Contribute within an Agile Release Train (ART) by defining features, prioritizing backlogs, and guiding teams to deliver impactful engineering solutions.

  • Inspire, mentor, and empower engineering and digital teams, promoting collaboration, technical excellence, predictable execution, and consistent delivery.

  • Lead the implementation and optimization of an MBSE toolchain and Test Management solutions that enhance engineering performance and enable the digital thread.

  • Maintain standard applications by resolving ServiceNow tickets, monitoring usage, defining license needs, and executing version upgrades.

  • Partner with internal customers, SMEs, and cross-functional teams to define, validate, and deploy new or upgraded applications and digital solutions.

  • Drive enterprise-level tool modernization efforts, including data migrations and adoption of common platforms.

  • Lead systems engineering activities across the full product lifecycle—from concept and architecture through integration, verification, production, and sustainment.
    Review and develop SysML-based MBSE artifacts.

  • Engage with internal customers through demonstrations, technical discussions, and issue resolution.

  • Champion continuous improvement while helping build high-performing teams that enjoy delivering results together.

  • Ensure compliance with quality, cybersecurity, security, trade, and RTX enterprise requirements.

Qualifications YOU Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.

  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident required.

  • Proven technical leadership experience guiding systems engineering teams, cross-functional initiatives, and stakeholder communication.

  • Demonstrated success as a Product Owner, Scrum Master, RTE, or similar Agile leadership role.

  • Strong systems engineering experience across the product lifecycle, including requirements, architecture, integration, test, verification, and sustainment.

  • Experience with MBSE, digital engineering, SysML, and tools such as JIRA, DOORS, Cameo, Teamwork Cloud, Polarion, JAMA, TestRail, Matlab, and others.

  • Knowledge of data analytics and visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, etc.) is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with executive leaders, customers, and engineering teams.

  • Experience working in regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, or automotive.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
