Raytheon’s Operations and Supply Chain organization has an opportunity for a Senior Supplier Engineer who will be involved in all aspects of planning and executing the production of our wide range of weapon systems, from tactical missiles to strategic defense products. You will provide technical knowledge & process capability expertise to improve supplier performance. You will be involved in all phases of product life cycles, beginning with proposal development, new product development, advanced manufacturing initiatives and continuing through production implementation. You will ensure technical data packages are complete and accurate and that the supplier technical performance meets the objectives of quality, cost and schedule. You will drive Raytheon design requirements to improve manufacturing and quality capabilities of suppliers. You will initiate continuous and measurable design and process improvement of supplier hardware for affordability.
This Senior Supplier Engineer will join our Electrical group. They will support any of the following commodities: CCA/PWB/Flex, Antenna/Power/Networks, Cables/Harnesses/Integrated Assy/Electronic Components, RF, or Optics. (Experience in one of these commodities is desired, but not required.)
This position is an onsite role and can be located in any of the following locations: Andover MA, Tucson AZ, Forest MS, McKinney TX, Tewksbury MA, Marlborough MA, El Segundo CA or Fullerton CA
What You Will Do
- Communicate and translate the technical data package to suppliers
- Conduct supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, opportunity and risk
- Perform technical evaluations in support of cost and price analysis
- Manage supplier requests for product and process changes
- Manage non-conforming product; Drive root cause and corrective action
- Prioritize and execute improvement opportunities
- Communicate the technical health of our suppliers to stakeholders
- Support domestic travel as need (Approx 25%)
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience in at least one of the following: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing & quality systems or technical supplier management
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with Manufacturing Engineering in a manufacturing / factory environment
- Active DoD clearance
- Experience with any of the following commodities: CCA/PWB/Flex, Antenna/Power/Networks, Cables/Harnesses/Integrated Assy/Electronic Components, RF, or Optics.
- Experience performing supplier assessments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
