Position Summary
The purpose of this position is to lead and direct a team to achieve Pedigree farm objectives. This role is responsible for meeting production goals, ensuring compliance with regulations, developing effective team members, fostering positive employee relations, analyzing flock production data, operating within budget guidelines, and ensuring infrastructure is properly maintained.

Essential Functions

  • Achieve production objectives.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company standards.

  • Develop, train, and maintain a qualified and effective team.

  • Foster positive employee relations.

  • Compile, analyze, and interpret flock production system data.

  • Operate within established operational and capital budgets.

  • Ensure facility infrastructure is effectively maintained.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

  • Limited prior experience required; suitable for an entry-level professional role.

Accountability & Scope

  • Entry-level professional position responsible for supervising a team of up to 40 hourly team members and lead positions.

  • Responsible for training, monitoring work quality, and coaching team members on performance.

  • Accountable for the quality and outcomes of team results.

  • Able to work independently and evaluate alternatives in situations not covered by established procedures.

Computer Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for data collection and management is required.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Direct supervision of hourly team members, including leads.

Travel Requirements

  • Minimal domestic travel required.

Biosecurity Requirements

  • The job site is a biosecure environment requiring showering before entering the facility and potentially multiple times during the workday.

  • Company-provided clothing and footwear must be worn.

  • Jewelry is not permitted on site, except for medical ID jewelry.

  • Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid contact with avian species (e.g., chickens, ducks, birds).

  • Must comply with the Company’s Animal Welfare Policy at all times.

Physical Requirements

  • Must use safe lifting techniques.

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to handle, touch, or feel objects, tools, or controls.

  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, and communicate (talk and hear).

  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Must follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment when visiting or working in facilities.
