The group is focused on the data-center and advanced manufacturing space by specializing in E-houses, CDUs, CUBs, White Space, Modular Data Centers, and other modular products for these markets. We offer end-to-end services to develop, design, procure, manufacture, and commission these modular products to meet client requirements. 

Position Value Proposition:

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the design, analysis, and implementation of structural systems for various manufacturing facilities. Your role will involve ensuring the structural integrity of buildings, equipment, and other infrastructure, while complying with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers, to support the production and operational needs of the manufacturing plant. 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and structural analysis of new and existing manufacturing facilities, including buildings, support structures, equipment foundations, and other infrastructure.
  • Perform detailed calculations and simulations to ensure structural integrity, safety, and compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Develop structural models using advanced software tools, ensuring accuracy and reliability in design outputs.
  • Manage multiple structural engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of structural projects.
  • Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and reports, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, maintenance, and quality departments, to support the operational needs of the facility.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and safety evaluations to identify and mitigate potential structural issues.
  • Ensure all structural designs comply with local, state, and federal building codes, industry standards, and company safety policies.
  • Conduct site inspections and structural assessments to evaluate the condition of existing structures and recommend necessary repairs or upgrades.
  • Implement best practices in structural engineering to enhance the safety, reliability, and sustainability of manufacturing facilities.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in structural engineering, materials, and construction methods relevant to the manufacturing industry.
  • Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and performance of structural systems within the manufacturing environment.
  • Lead or support research and development initiatives focused on advancing structural engineering practices within the company.

Required qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) to perform essential functions of this position:

I. Work Experience

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in structural engineering, with at least 5 years in the modular industry.
  • Strong project management skills with experience in managing complex engineering projects.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

II. Education/Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.

III. Specialized Knowledge – Certificates & Licenses

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

IV. Software & Technology

  • Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD Pro, SAP2000, AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., AISC, ASCE, IBC).

V. Work Environment

 

Work is generally performed in a climate-controlled office area. Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time throughout an 8-10 hour day.
