Senior Strategic Buyer – Detroit, Michigan Area
Own the numbers. Drive the savings. Influence the business.
We are looking for a high-impact Senior Strategic Buyer who knows how to turn cost data into action. This is not a transaction purchasing role. You will own Purchase Price Variance (PPV) performance across multiple manufacturing sites and work directly with Finance and strategic suppliers to protect margin and drive measurable cost improvement.

What You’ll Own
Enterprise PPV performance variance resolution.
Supplier cost reduction initiatives.
PO vs. invoice and standard cost reconciliation.
Monthly cost and margin analysis.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field.
5+ years in strategic sourcing, purchasing, cost analysis, or manufacturing finance.
Experience managing PPV, standard costing, rebates, or variance analysis.
Experience interacting with strategic suppliers.
Advance Excel skills (pivot tables, modeling, data analysis)
Strong financial and analytical capability.
Experience working cross-functionally with Finance.
Ability to interpret invoice detail and reconcile discrepancies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
Highly organized with ability to maintain consistent reporting discipline.
Results-driven mindset with a strong focus on protecting and improving margin.
Preferred Qualifications
Multi-site manufacturing experience.
Experience with rebate programs.
ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Plex, IQMS, etc.)
Plastic injection molding experience.
Working Conditions
Office and manufacturing plant environment.
Occasional travel to manufacturing sites and suppliers may be required.
