As a Senior Sourcing Manager of at Applied Materials, you will support the enterprise’s key business initiatives through sourcing execution and deliver company-wide continuous improvement for all related project, supplier relationship and stakeholder management tied to sourcing initiatives. As a member of the RFx enablement team you will join a team of sourcing professionals responsible for the execution of a standard, scalable and repeatable RFP, RFQ and RFI process. You will partner closely with business leaders, Category Managers and suppliers to coordinate sourcing activity leveraging templates and tools provided. Global Procurement Services (GPS) is a Global support organization, procuring the goods, services and contingent workforce required for Applied Materials to run the company and enable our employees to support our customers. Your role will partner with global strategic leaders and leverage a team of Category-aligned managers across all Indirect commodities. This role will support all Applied Materials business lines.
You will support the client relationship management aspect and supplier engagement of the commodities you oversee by generating, innovating, and implementing transparent sourcing strategies. In this capacity you will lead a team to consolidate stakeholder needs into clear requirements documents, lead and drive project execution ensuring the highest level of rigor for project management, develop reporting to ensure stakeholder accountability and work with leadership to solve high value problems for your clients. You will help develop frameworks to prove and track relevant value through supplier relationships to the business.

Responsibilities:
- Project management: Utilizing standard project management tools and summary documents to track and communicate status of projects
- Supplier management: Identifying and evaluating suppliers, and managing supplier relationships
- Market research: Conducting market research and creating cost estimates and forecasts
- Procurement: Developing policies and schedules for regular procurements, and analyzing and calculating procurement costs
- Risk management: Estimating risks and applying risk minimizing techniques
- BPO partner management: Consolidating feedback on BPO performance
- Oversee the execution of all RFx processes
- Partner with Global Sourcing & Procurement leaders to provide RFX insights
- Support the transformation of Sourcing value proposition through training, hiring, development of templates and implementation of best practices.
- Leverage available tools and study trends utilizing market intelligence and industry research to identify and solve potential high value problems, and continually seek new opportunities for innovation for your category.
- Support the business in spend management projects that accomplish key objectives like savings, process effectiveness, supplier consolidation & management, risk reduction & management, improved visibility and control of expenditures.
- Collaborate with Suppliers, Budget owners, FP&A, Accounting, Legal, InfoSec to ensure appropriate review, approvals, transactions and according documentation is in order to support compliance and due diligence while developing and standardizing business processes to improve scalability and sustainability
- Travel may be required up to25% as appropriate for the support of your suppliers and stakeholders.

Experience:
- Require experience working in start-up environment. GPS is going through a large-scale transformation and will move from start up to world class in a short span.
- 7+ years of related procurement and indirect sourcing experience. i.e. Leading complex RFx, negotiating with large, multi-national suppliers.
- 4+ years experience with eSourcing Technologies- ScoutRFP, Ariba Procurement Suite and some experience with SAP Fieldglass.
- Proven ability to navigate complex supplier and stakeholder ecosystems & ability to influence favorable outcomes aligned with top-line objectives
- Familiarity with procurement software including systems like Workday Sourcing and workflow tools such as ServiceNow
- Excellent Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills. Tableau skills highly preferred.
- Experience in consulting and/or legal and/or finance is a plus
- Project Management Certification is a strong plus
- Bachelor’s Degree required with an analytical or strategic focus (Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, etc.) and/or Procurement, Supply Chain, Project Management and/or relevant industry certification(s) preferred.

U.S. Salary Range:
$108,000.00 - $148,500.00
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
