Job Summary
The primary role of the Full-Stack Software Engineer is to design, develop, and deliver modern full-stack applications that solve complex operational challenges. This role focuses on building scalable applications with polished, intuitive user interfaces while supporting rapid prototyping and iterative development.
You’ll work on a small, high-impact engineering team where you’ll help take ideas from concept to working prototype quickly. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems across the full stack and wants direct visibility into how their work improves mission operations.
Position Responsibilities
Design, develop, maintain, and enhance full-stack software applications based on documented requirements
Build features end-to-end across frontend, backend services, and data layers
Develop modern user interfaces using reusable components and established UI/UX best practices
Ensure applications are responsive across approved browsers and platforms
Design and consume RESTful APIs
Build and execute simulations and test harnesses in development and test environments
Debug and troubleshoot full-stack issues and conduct root cause analysis
Improve application performance, usability, and scalability
Participate in code reviews and maintain software development standards
Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control best practices
Collaborate closely with product owners, designers, and engineering teams to deliver incremental improvements
Stay current on emerging technologies, frameworks, and development best practices
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or Physics is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Minimum 8 - 12 years of relevant experience in application software development.
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Strong Java development experience for backend services
Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, specifically React
Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
Experience with container technologies such as Docker or Podman
Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
Experience designing and building microservices architectures

Salary Range: $125,000.00 - $270,000.00
The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several factors including, but not limited to, level of position, job responsibilities, geographic location, scope of relevant work experience, educational background, certifications, contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, alignment with local internal equity as well as alignment with market data.
