We have an exciting opportunity for an SMT Cleaning Process Engineer technical lead to join our Advanced Products Center (APC) RF Microelectronics Process Engineering team in McKinney, Texas. Our team is critical to factory success with our role installing new equipment, qualifying existing equipment, and executing process improvement projects. We are the subject matter experts for processes and materials in our new Microwave Automated Factory (an ISO Class 8 cleanroom environment) which focuses on RF microelectronic packaging and surface mount technology. This is a hands-on role where every day is different.
You will work closely with product engineers, quality engineers, reliability engineers, tooling engineers, industrial engineers, and operations leaders on product manufacturing. This opportunity allows for working on cutting-edge automation and materials as well as mature production. Team responsibilities include developing and implementing materials and processes, process improvements, and production support using statistical process control techniques, experimental designs, material analysis, mechanical design analysis, and root cause analysis.
Evaluation of materials, equipment, and processes (including qualification, acceptance testing, and specification development) will be required.

What You Will Do
Technical leadership and execution of J-STD-001 Rev H compliance for SMT cleaning processes and other cleaning projects
Supporting current high-volume, high-mix production with on-site responsiveness to factory equipment, process, materials, and product problems. Factory production execution support includes developing and implementing well-controlled processes using data-driven methods such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE) and writing shop process documentation.
Developing and executing new product builds, typically with automated equipment, often requiring creative solutions for next-generation product designs.
Ensuring processes developed and executed meet product quality requirements (J-STD-001, MIL-STD-883, MIL-PRF-38534, IPC, etc.)
Process improvement projects to improve factory productivity through leveraging new technologies, investigating and qualifying new materials, and more
Capital equipment down-selection and integration to meet current and future business needs
Effective cross-functional communication of technical information
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
1+ year knowledge of material properties and automated equipment
2+ years of leading projects
1+ year manufacturing experience with surface mount technology (SMT) and familiarity with J-STD-001
SMT cleaning experience
Ability to work in a cleanroom environment for 6+ hours a day

Technical writing experience for operator instructions, process and/or material qualification reports, equipment vendor statement of works, etc.
