Summary

We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join our Information Security team. In this senior technical role, you will help design, implement, operate, and improve enterprise security tools and services that protect company systems, data, and users. This position is ideal for a hands-on security professional who can lead complex technical initiatives, support incident response, mentor team members, and partner across IT to strengthen security across the enterprise.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform advanced security engineering activities across assigned enterprise security platforms and services.
  • Support the design, implementation, configuration, documentation, and ongoing operation of security tools such as anti-malware, disk encryption, vulnerability management, cloud security, Microsoft 365, log management, secure email gateways, and network security solutions.
  • Ensure security tools are operating effectively, configured according to documented standards, and maintained with current patches, software releases, and security baselines.
  • Review logs, reports, alerts, and security telemetry to identify potential incidents, trends, vulnerabilities, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Follow established change management processes and participate in change control activities for assigned security systems.
  • Support incident response activities, including detection, analysis, containment, remediation, and post-incident improvement efforts.
  • Assist with audit, compliance, verification, and documentation activities related to security controls, policies, procedures, standards, and runbooks.
  • Collaborate with project teams to provide security requirements, review designs, evaluate test plans, interpret results, and support secure delivery through the system development lifecycle.
  • Research emerging security threats, technologies, products, and best practices, and present recommendations to management.
  • Contribute to the successful implementation of medium to large-scale security projects or cross-functional initiatives as assigned.
  • Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to peers, as needed.
  • Build strong working relationships across IT and business teams to help identify risks, solve problems, and improve the overall security posture.

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years of strong experience designing, implementing, administering, and improving enterprise information security tools and services.
  • Strong expertise in areas such as endpoint protection, vulnerability management, privileged access management, cloud security, Microsoft 365 security, logging, encryption, and threat management.
  • Experience supporting incident response, forensic activities, root-cause analysis, and remediation efforts.
  • Knowledge of security policies, standards, baselines, control requirements, and audit or compliance processes.
  • Ability to evaluate security risks, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Experience participating in technical projects, including cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong documentation skills, including the ability to develop procedures, standards, runbooks, design reviews, and technical recommendations.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision while collaborating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, analytical, and relationship-building skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Relevant security certifications such as CISA, CISSP, GIAC, Security+, Microsoft security certifications, or other relevant product and security credentials.
  • Experience with enterprise security operations, security engineering, vulnerability management, cloud security, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, network security, SIEM, endpoint security, and incident response tools.
  • Experience working in a regulated, audit-driven, or enterprise IT environment.
