Robotics Field Service Engineer – Direct Hire

Wixom, MI | 70-75% Travel

$35–$40/hr (Based on experience & education) | Overtime and Double time Eligible

What You’ll Do

  • Install and commission advanced robotic equipment in diverse industrial settings.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site and remotely, across service categories including maintenance, upgrades, and system replacements.
  • Serve as the technical expert for customers, delivering high-quality service and support with professionalism and precision.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and service teams to plan and execute complex service projects, ensuring all milestones are met.
  • Proactively identify and address potential system issues, recommending improvements to prevent future downtime.
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based customer relationships through responsive communication and expert guidance.
  • Contribute to the development of new service tools, applications, and techniques to support our evolving technology base.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or Control & Automation.
  • 5–10 years of hands-on experience working with industrial robots and automation systems.
  • Proven skill in the commissioning, maintenance, and repair of robotic systems and automation hardware.
  • Working knowledge of PLC programming, controls systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work independently on-site.
  • Willingness to travel up to 85%, both domestically and internationally, as needed.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
