We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Senior Quality Technician/Engineer to play a critical role in upholding our commitment to exceptional quality. This position demands a deep understanding of quality control principles, CMM programming and operation, and the ability to independently manage and optimize quality assurance processes.
Responsibilities:
Quality Control:
Work with team to ensure adherence to established quality control procedures.
Conduct comprehensive inspections of machined parts, utilizing advanced measuring equipment (CMM) and ensuring conformance to tight tolerances and complex specifications.
Analyze inspection data, identify potential quality issues, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring problems.
Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate quality control documentation including PPAPs as required.
Manage QC lab and gauging including calibration schedule and system.
CMM Programming and Operation:
Independently program and operate Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMMs) to measure complex parts and features in a fast-paced production environment.
Develop and optimize CMM programs to ensure efficient and accurate inspections including ability of operators to perform inspections on repeat jobs.
Troubleshoot CMM malfunctions and maintain peak performance of the equipment.
Stay up-to-date on the latest CMM technologies and advancements.
Quality Assurance Support:
Implement and maintain a robust quality assurance program, ensuring effective preventive maintenance of quality control equipment.
Conduct audits to assess the effectiveness of quality control procedures and identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with engineers and production teams to ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
Develop and implement strategies to continuously improve overall quality control efficiency and effectiveness.
Other Duties:
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a precision machining environment, with at least 3 years in a dedicated QC/QA related role. Prior experience as a machinist is a big plus.
Proven experience in CMM programming and operation, with a strong understanding of CMM capabilities and limitations. Zeiss and Calypso experience are preferred.
In-depth knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and best practices (SPC, Six Sigma, etc., preferred).
Strong blueprint reading and GD&T experience.
Experience with various precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, surface plates, etc.). Able to do first article inspections as needed.

Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively lead and train a team.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
