Description

The Senior Manager of Global Quality Management is responsible for the overall development, implementation and maintenance of DataPath’s Quality Management System.  This position will work closely with the leadership team of all business units, Operations, and Global Engineering to ensure DataPath’s quality strategies are aligned with the company’s strategic and performance goals for both government and commercial markets.  A core responsibility of this Manager will be to lead comprised of highly seasoned quality and configuration management professionals ensure that the internal processes established in each department are effective, efficient, and yield quality results and to ensure DataPath’s vendors maintain the highest level of quality for all parts, components, and sub-assemblies used in DataPath products.  The team lead by this individual will work closely with the Global Supply Chain team to establish supplier performance criteria, monitor supplier performance and hold suppliers accountable for any quality issues.  This individual will possess a passion for the quality discipline and will work with cross-functional departments as needed to promote and evangelize DataPath’s culture of quality to customers, prospects, and industry contacts.

Roles and Responsibilities: 
- Ensure that DataPath’s Quality Management System and processes conform to applicable government, customer, internal, ISO 9001 and regulatory/legal requirements 
- Manage the monitoring, measurement and review of internal processes applicable to the quality of all DataPath products 
- Establish goals, metrics, tools and methodologies to drive continuous quality improvements for each internal department and external suppliers 
- Manage and/or monitor internal or external quality engineers, inspectors, auditors, analysts and technicians as required 
- Work directly with customers, contractors and outsourcing firms to establish quality requirements, reporting and mitigation strategies 
- Report to senior management on the performance of DataPath’s QMS such as the results of quality audits and corrective actions, and create performance improvement plans as necessary 
- Conduct cross-functional periodic management review meetings 
- Develop, execute and oversee product retrofit or mitigation plans 
- Develop test plans, strategies and reporting across product lines 
- Plan and conduct DataPath’s annual ISO 9001 audit and ensure all remediation issues are tracked and executed 
- Keep up on standards, regulations/laws, issues and industry news with respect to DataPath’s and competitors’ quality issues 
- Collaborating with the Compliance Department to align quality procedures with regulatory requirements and support the documentation effort of organizational policies 
- Working with Global Supply Chain, identify and implement methodologies to track and mitigate supplier failure trends 
- Ensure evaluation of and reporting on vendor/supplier quality systems 
- Develop quality metrics for internal departments, key suppliers, and product components and determine measurement and accountability strategies - Oversee and approve quality standards for and inspection of all incoming supplier parts, components, and sub-assemblies in accordance with company and contractual quality requirements 
- Drive quality improvement/”get-well” plan for internal departments and key suppliers 
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Point of Contact (POC) to internal and external customers for all quality issues 
- Perform senior-level strategic customer out-briefs as required 
- 15%+ domestic and international travel expected (more initially)
 

Qualifications


Minimum Requirements: 
- US Citizenship is required 
- Applicant must be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance 
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, quality management or other related field from an accredited institution 
- 10 years quality management/quality assurance experience in a global technology business environment 
- Demonstrated knowledge of global quality management practices and standards 
- Previous experience in successfully conducting and fulfilling ISO 9001 audit requirements 
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated fluency in Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Project 
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills, as well as demonstrated global responsibility 
- Effective leadership, teamwork, organizational, and presentation skills 
- Lean/Six Sigma, CQA or similar certification   

Preferred Requirements: 
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Quality Management or similar discipline preferred.
