Our client in Lake County is seeking experienced
Senior Quality Control Inspectors
to join a precision manufacturing environment supporting aerospace customers. This position is primarily focused on
hands-on inspection and dimensional verification
throughout the day. The ideal candidate will have strong experience reading blueprints and GD&T, using precision measuring equipment, and working within
AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality systems.

Pay:$27–$33/hour DOE

Full-time, 1st Shift
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed in-process, final, and first-piece inspections of precision components.
- Inspect parts against engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Perform dimensional inspection using
CMM, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, pin gauges, bore gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Read and interpret
GD&T and engineering drawings.
- Verify dimensions, tolerances, surface conditions, and overall product conformity.
- Complete inspection reports, inspection records, and quality documentation accurately.
- Support
First Article Inspection (FAI) / AS9102
documentation.
- Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming material.
- Maintain traceability and inspection records in accordance with quality procedures.
- Ensure inspection activities comply with
AS9100 and ISO 9001
requirements.
- Work closely with Production and Engineering when discrepancies or quality concerns are identified.
- Assist with calibration and control of inspection equipment.
- Support audits and continuous improvement activities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of quality inspection experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Aerospace manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of
AS9100 and ISO 9001
quality systems.
- Strong blueprint and
GD&T
interpretation skills.
- Advanced experience with precision inspection equipment and dimensional measurement.
- Experience with
FAI/AS9102
documentation preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- High school diploma/GED required; technical training or certifications preferred.
