Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineer to join our team located in Mascoutah, IL.

The selected candidate for this role primary duties will include monitoring the health of the Quality Management System (QMS) for the MQ-25 Program in Final Assembly and Flight Ramp. Additionally, the selected candidate will lead integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation. This position will be responsible for tracking all trends for quality deficiencies, warranty claims, supplier NOEs, line stock checks and general QMS administration duties for the MQ-25 program.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides interpretation of complex requirements.

  • Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for large programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.

  • Leads various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.

  • Develops and selects methods for analysis, testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.

  • Assists in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances.

  • Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.

  • Develops and implements corrective actions.

  • Performs benchmarking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.

  • Works under minimal direction.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • More than 3 years experience implementing and/or maintaining a quality management system
  • More than 5 years of experience working with quality systems (e.g., Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), Aerospace Standard (AS9100))
  • More than 5 years of experience working in a quality job role

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • More than 5 years of experience in the aerospace industry
  • 10 or more year's related work experience

Summary pay range: USD 108,800 – 147,200
