We are a growing precision CNC machine shop serving leading aerospace customers. As part of our next phase, we are making a $11M capital investment and expanding into a 55,000 sq ft facility to support increased demand and capability.
We are seeking a
high-impact Quality / Process Engineer
to help elevate our systems, strengthen customer confidence, and drive operational excellence at scale.
Position Summary
This is a critical, hands-on role focused on quality systems, process improvement, and manufacturing excellence. You will serve as a key bridge between engineering, production, and our aerospace customers—ensuring compliance, driving root-cause solutions, and improving process capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and improve compliance to
AS9100 quality management systems
- Lead and support
PPAP submissions, and customer qualification requirements
- Drive
root cause analysis and corrective actions (RCCA)
using structured methodologies (8D, 5 Why, etc.)
- Partner with CNC machining, programming, and production teams to
optimize manufacturing processes
- Analyze process capability, variation, and yield; implement improvements
- Support internal and external audits (customer, regulatory, certification)
- Develop and maintain
process documentation, control plans, and work instructions
- Collaborate on new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturability reviews
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives (lean, scrap reduction, cycle time improvements)
Qualifications
- 4+ years in
aerospace or high-precision manufacturing
- Strong working knowledge of
AS9100 standards
- Hands-on experience with
PPAP and customer quality requirements
- Deep understanding of
CNC machining processes
(milling, turning, tight-tolerance parts)
- Proven experience with
corrective action systems and root cause analysis
- Ability to work cross-functionally on the shop floor and with leadership
- Familiarity with GD&T, inspection methods, and metrology tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
