POSITION OVERVIEW
The purpose of the Software Quality Assurance Engineer II is to work with Gentex engineering teams to ensure product development processes are followed and work products meet quality requirements. The Software Quality Assurance Engineer will also develop, update, maintain and monitor processes to ensure compliance to Automotive Software Process Improvement and Capability Determination (SPICE).
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Develop/define processes with engineering teams to achieve ASPICE Level 2.
- Update, maintain and monitor processes to ensure continued achievement of ASPICE Level 2.
- Provide training on processes and ASPICE to engineering teams.
- Develop, implement and maintain a strategy for performing quality assurance activities.
- Identify, record and communicate non-conformances of work products, processes and process activities to engineering.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure non-conformances are resolved in a timely manner and prevent recurrence.
- Define, collect and report on software metrics and collaborate with the team to define strategies for continuous improvement.
- Manage internal and external Automotive SPICE assessments, including customer audits.
- Other duties as assigned.

WHAT TO BRING
- 4-year degree in engineering or relevant field.
- 5+ years of experience in software development or software quality assurance, product design or related role.
- 5+ years of experience in quality system management, quality compliance and internal/external audit processes.
- Experience in the automotive industry, specifically related to Automotive SPICE and/or CMMI requirements.
WHAT WILL HELP
- Certified provisional Assessor Automotive SPICE® or higher.
- Experience working with software development standards (ASPICE, DO178C, ISO26262, CMMI).
- Willing to travel as required.
