This role will lead major quality initiatives and provide technical guidance within our quality team. This role involves developing strategic quality plans, leading significant projects, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. In this role, individuals will implement corrective and preventive actions, support quality audits, and play a key role in managing quality-related projects. This position offers the opportunity to use advanced knowledge to shape Graco’s quality systems and processes, ensuring our products meet the highest standards.
What You Will Do at Graco
Quality Standards, Root Cause and Continuous Improvement
Develop, revise and apply required quality standards, methods, and procedures for in-process product verification and testing.
Conduct root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process or product related concerns.
Respond to product-related customer complaints.
Manufacturing Support, Analysis and Audits
Support, identify and implement continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, lean methods, etc.
Support manufacturing in resolution of day-to-day issues as needed.
Provide support to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions. (ISO, product or cell/area audits)
Perform analysis and identify trends in the in-process testing of finished products, in-process raw and bulk raw materials, and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
Ensure that established manufacturing in-process testing and statistical process control procedures are followed.
Develop and conduct training on quality tools, inspection equipment, software, and procedures as needed.
Conduct and enhance effective communication with Manufacturing and Design Departments
Project Management and Reporting
Ensure product non-conformances are fully resolved, and that corrective actions are effective.
Facilitate outside agency audits.
Assist Quality Management in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system.
Drive the selection and justification of quality related capital equipment.
Support QA receiving inspection process and procedures.
Preparation of QA reports.
Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing to determine key characteristics, inspectability, and manufacturability during the print reviews of new product and verify they are in accordance with proper approval reports and standards.
Lead interface between divisions / factories to ensure efficient equipment and practices are being used. Provide knowledge sharing activities.
Develop and implement new product quality plans and strategies.
What You Will Bring to Graco
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
5+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment
Extensive knowledge of theories, practices and procedures in a quality function.
Ability to work on problems of moderate to complex scope where root cause and data analysis is required.
Follow established practices and procedures in the performance of normal job functions.
Good oral and written communication skills
Good mechanical aptitude
Ability to interact and communicate with both internal and external customers/suppliers.
High level of knowledge in gauging, measurement techniques and statistical process control
Accelerators
Global industrial manufacturing experience and knowledge.
MBA or Master’s degree preferred
Advanced level of knowledge of statistical methods
Advanced level of knowledge of ISO:9001 quality system

The base pay range for this position is listed below, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation. If you are hired, your final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
