Raytheon is looking for a results-driven Senior Quality Engineer to join our team supporting the cutting-edge Raytheon Airborne Systems program. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring excellence in engineering processes, compliance, and product quality while driving innovation in advanced radar systems.

The position works in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) environment with flexible work hours to accommodate work/life balance practices.

What You Will Do

  • Lead Quality functions for Advanced Radar Systems

  • Drive Root Cause Analysis and participate in CORE initiatives to identify and implement process improvements.

  • Manage and analyze Quality-specific metrics to ensure operational excellence.

  • Proactively identify and implement methods to enhance the quality of our products and processes.

  • Oversee and lead Quality efforts for both Box and Pod manufacturing areas, ensuring adherence to high standards.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience

  • Experience with working with DCMA, USN, and USG.

  • Experience with AS 9100 quality management systems or equivalent

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams in failure analysis, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions

  • Experience with Six Sigma methodology (CORE) and tools such as lean manufacturing, diagnostic, process optimization and continuous improvement

  • Experience with microelectronic fab, manufacturing and assembly

  • Experience with metrology, measurement tools and practices

  • Job requires access to classified information; individual must be able to obtain a security clearance.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics

  • Experience working with external suppliers and mechanical inspection techniques

  • Experience in supporting design and manufacturing processes and could work within a cross-functional team environment

  • Ability to work with internal and external customers in efforts to reducing and eliminating quality defects

  • Hands on use of statistical process controls for process monitoring, qualification and/or design feedback

  • Familiar with lean manufacturing concepts

  • Ability to effectively juggle multiple tasks and priorities.

  • Ability to collaborate and team with multiple internal functions and external organizations to provide best value solutions to our customers

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 73,000 USD - 147,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
