Senior Project Engineer

Salary: $95,000 – $120,000

About the Role

SS Landscaping Services is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to support commercial landscape construction projects from contract award through project closeout. This role works closely with Project Managers on contract administration, project documentation, procurement, scheduling support, compliance, and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project startup, contract administration, and document control.
• Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and scope requirements.
• Coordinate submittals, RFIs, procurement, material deliveries, and vendor communications.
• Track project compliance requirements, insurance certificates, bonds, and deadlines.
• Support Project Managers with change orders, contract issues, billing documentation, and cost tracking.
• Maintain project records and oversee project closeout documentation.
• Mentor junior Project Engineers and support construction best practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in commercial or landscape construction.
• 7+ years of Project Engineering, Construction Administration, or Contracts Administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, project documentation, drawings, and specifications.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Procore, and construction management software.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
