 Job Title: Sr. Program Manager

Location: Newark, CA

Reports to: Director Program Management & Business Development

 Job Overview: 

Senior Program Manager provides enterprise-level support for Unigen products and services to designated customers, ensuring quality service, operational performance and effective coordination and communication with the customer. 

 Primary Job Responsibilities:

  1. Voice of the Customer (VoC) 
    • Main point of contact & communication for business relationships and escalation
    • Delivering Reports per the contractual agreement
    • Facilitate meeting with customers and CFT or Unigen Leadership
  2. Responsible for managing all aspects of account program management, which operates in a (CFT) matrix management capacity with the following functional areas: production, planning, materials management, quality, engineering, and new business development.
  3. Responsible for monitoring and analyzing cost, revenue and profitability performance of programs, providing revenue forecasts and ensuring products are completed on time and within budget; provide pricing rationale and recommendations supporting quotations and proposals for new business opportunities.
  4. Responsible for ensuring that program operational metrics are in place and are effectively managed. Monitor key operational performance metrics such as on-time delivery, quality, responsiveness, price for value, and use of technology. Review company performance to standards on a regular basis reacting to metrics by identifying root cause and solutions.
  5. Responsible for submitting claims recovery to customers such as:
  • Purchase Price Variance (PPV)
  • Tariff
  • Freight
  • Overtime (OT)
  • Engineering Changes Impacts
  • Rework
  • Others
  1. Responsible for ensuring customer projects meet the customer’s expectations and are delivered on time. Provide timely responses to customer requests, offering clear answers and commitments.
  2. Ensure accurate interpretation and execution of contractual requirements to the CFT.
  3. Conduct effective kick-offs and Manufacturing Readiness Reviews to ensure seamless project execution.
  4. Maintain and nurture the customer relationship with an advocacy attitude and dedication to excellence.
  5. Facilitate and support Quarterly Business Reviews, driving closure on subsequent actions.
  6. Coordinate customer site visits as required.
  7. Mentors and supports new Program Managers.

 Key Tools and Technology:

  1. Document and presentation software: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe Acrobat
  2. Document control software: PLM Agile
  3. Enterprise Resource Planning software: Oracle R12 and ASCP
  4. Data mining, analysis, and reporting software: Portus

Qualifications:

  1. Preferred Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Minimum 7 years’ experience as a Program Manager in a contract manufacturing environment.
  3. Strong analytical, financial and budgeting skills,
  4. Proficient in MS Office Suite: Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
  5. Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Excel is required.
  6. Solid understanding of Backlog and MRP/ERP systems.
  7. Working knowledge of Product Lifecyle Management (PLM) systems, preferably Agile.
