Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Program Management Specialist (Level 5) to support Kennedy Space Center activities for NASA’s Artemis program in Kennedy Space Center, FL!

The Senior Program Management Specialist is responsible for integrating site activities for Core Stages 2, 3 and 4, coordinating Boeing activities at KSC, and interfacing with NASA and contractor teams including EGS, COMET, and BOSS. The specialist will develop and maintain mission manifests, ensure Boeing core stage schedules support launch campaigns, and drive on-site schedule and integration success.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Boeing’s primary on-site program management lead at KSC for Core Stages 2, 3 and 4 integration activities
  • Integrate and coordinate site activities across Boeing teams and with NASA organizations including EGS, COMET, and BOSS to achieve mission milestones
  • Develop, maintain, and drive mission manifests and launch campaign schedules; ensure Boeing core stage schedules are aligned and executable for planned launches
  • Lead schedule development, trade studies, and schedule risk analysis (critical-path identification, float analysis, recovery plans)
  • Maintain cross-program integration schedules, update status, and present schedule health to leadership and stakeholders
  • Identify schedule and integration risks, drive mitigation plans, and escalate issues as needed to keep missions on track
  • Coordinate readiness reviews, integration meetings, and change control boards with NASA and contractor stakeholders
  • Ensure Boeing activities at KSC comply with NASA site requirements, safety policies, and interface agreements
  • Prepare and deliver regular status briefings, integrated master schedules, and program documentation for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support on-site testing, processing flow optimization, and resource allocation to meet campaign needs
  • Mentor and coordinate with junior program specialists and schedule analysts supporting the site

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, aerospace, program/project management, or related technical discipline
  • 10+ years of relevant program or project management experience supporting complex aerospace or launch programs (or equivalent experience)
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing integrated master schedules and mission manifests for multi-organization programs
  • Experience coordinating with NASA organizations, prime contractors, and multi-disciplinary teams in a launch site or mission-integration environment
  • Strong schedule tools experience (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6); familiarity with schedule risk analysis tools preferred
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to brief senior leadership and run cross-functional meetings
  • Proven ability to identify schedule drivers, risks, and recovery strategies; strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to obtain and maintain NASA Safety Sensitive access/badging

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Advanced degree in engineering, program management, or related field
  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program management certification
  • Prior direct experience with NASA Artemis, SLS/Core Stage processing, or KSC ground operations
  • Familiarity with EGS, COMET, and BOSS processes, teams, or information systems
  • Experience with configuration and change management processes in large aerospace programs

Additional Information:

  • This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility. This is a NASA safety-sensitive position and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
  • This position requires travel up to 10% of the time. Some domestic travel to Boeing sites, suppliers, and launch support locations may be required.

Summary pay range: USD $136,850 – $185,150
