Description

Position Summary

The Senior Production Supervisor provides leadership and direction to a team based on established business strategies to ensure continual improvement, customer satisfaction, and adherence to company policy. Using their technical knowledge, the Senior Production Supervisor monitors daily corrective maintenance of molding and manufacturing operations equipment, quality standards, and company goals as they relate to these areas.

Essential Functions

  1. Develop, implement, and analyze approved actions to improve molding and manufacturing processes, equipment performance, and overall work quality, and lead the team to take the appropriate corrective actions to meet goals, quality standards, safety, and cost objectives.
  2. Collaborate on the identification and implementation of capital project(s) that support process improvement and advanced manufacturing capabilities.
  3. Lead employees through effective communication, coaching, training, and development.  Lead strategic projects and initiatives for talent development within the department.
  4. Ensure employee time and attendance follow federal, state, and local wage and hour laws; ensure labor costs are within company goals.
  5. Maintain conscientiousness for capacity planning, scheduling, and machine processes of existing and newly developed products.
  6. Monitor established operational objectives, assignments, and activities, including occasional revision of schedules and problem-solving.
  7. Oversee daily processes to develop appropriate reports, data, and analysis.
  8. Inform/direct Maintenance personnel to maintain and repair machinery and equipment as needed.  In conjunction with Maintenance personnel, coordinate maintenance activities with department requirements and schedules to minimize downtime and use resources efficiently.
  9. Participate in the development of manufacturing and financial goals and manage operations so that all departmental goals are met.
  10. Maintain department-level ISO documentation, procedural maintenance, and revision; support ISO audits and ensure overall compliance with the standard.
  11. Support Epson’s global vision by promoting teamwork and delivering unique value through innovative and creative solutions.
  12. Maintain professional and technical knowledge of industry best practices by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

  2. Provide consistent, high-quality output to ensure customer satisfaction and create value to exceed customer expectations
  3. Regular and reliable attendance is required to accomplish essential functions of the job
  4. Maintain professional and technical knowledge of industry best practices by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, visiting other manufacturing facilities, and participating in professional societies
  5. Ensure confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism
  6. Domestic and International business travel may be required

Qualifications


Education and Experience

  1. Associate’s degree or equivalent applicable education and work experience is required
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  3. Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible experience is required
  4. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with all levels of personnel
  5. Demonstrated project management experience with concurrent deadlines
  6. Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
  7. Proficient PC skills are required, including experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, and PLC

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work in a manufacturing, cleanroom, warehouse, and/or office environment that is subject to moderate to high levels of noise, specialized apparel and safety equipment, and moving mechanical parts. This position will have exposure to and use of materials listed in the company’s Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee conducts primarily medium work with constant periods of standing, walking, reaching, squatting, climbing, stooping, talking, listening, visual inspection, pushing, and pulling. This position requires the ability to lift, push, pull, and/or maneuver up to 50 pounds on occasion. Repetitive motions (movements) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers are required.
