osition Summary
The Senior Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and supervising production Team Members to ensure the highest standards of safety, food safety, quality, and productivity are consistently met. This role works closely with the management team to achieve operational objectives and is accountable for day-to-day departmental performance.
The Senior Production Supervisor serves as backup coverage for all shifts, supporting Production Supervisors and Senior Production Managers (SPMs) as needed. The individual must be highly flexible, as shift assignments may change week to week based on business needs. This position requires strong leadership, accountability, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and lead production Team Members to ensure compliance with safety, food safety, quality, sanitation, and productivity standards
Ensure adherence to USDA, OSHA, HACCP, GMPs, and all company policies and procedures
Actively support and enforce human resource policies, including attendance, discipline, and performance management
Serve as shift coverage backup for Production Supervisors and SPMs across all shifts as required
Demonstrate flexibility by working varying shifts, with schedules subject to weekly changes
Utilize Lean Manufacturing tools to drive continuous improvement, waste reduction, and operational efficiency
Leverage LMOS systems for labor management, productivity tracking, and performance reporting
Utilize SAP S/4HANA and EIM systems to support production reporting, data accuracy, and operational decision-making
Collaborate with management to achieve production goals, address issues, and implement corrective actions
Accept full accountability for assigned areas and ensure daily operational targets are met
Identify and resolve production, safety, quality, and personnel issues in a timely manner
Promote a positive team environment and lead by example
Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned by management
Requirements
Education
High School Diploma or GED required
Experience
Minimum 3+ years of related industry experience
Minimum 1+ year of supervisory experience in a meat processing facility (pork or beef preferred)
Working knowledge of USDA, OSHA, and HACCP regulations
Background and working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools (e.g., 5S, root cause analysis, continuous improvement)
Experience with LMOS or similar labor management systems
Proficiency with SAP S/4HANA and EIM systems preferred
Communication Skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bilingual skills are helpful but not required
Computer Skills
Moderate computer skills required
Proficiency with Microsoft systems, including:
Microsoft Excel
Microsoft Word
Microsoft Project
Microsoft PowerPoint
Ability to accurately enter, analyze, and interpret production and labor data using company systems
Supervisory Skills
Proven ability to supervise and develop Team Members performing a variety of production tasks
Ability to coach, motivate, and hold Team Members accountable

Travel
Some travel may be required to other facilities or corporate locations
