About the Role:

The Senior Production Operator plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of manufacturing processes within the production facility. This position is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, maintaining equipment functionality, and adhering to quality standards to meet production targets. The Senior Production Operator leads by example, providing guidance and support to junior operators while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize workflow. This role requires a strong focus on safety protocols, continuous improvement initiatives, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Ultimately, the Senior Production Operator contributes significantly to the overall success of the manufacturing operation by maintaining high standards of operational excellence and product quality.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proven ability to operate and troubleshoot production machinery.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and quality control standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as process instructions and equipment manuals.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree or technical certification in manufacturing, industrial technology, or a related field.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a production environment.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance standards.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment to ensure consistent and efficient manufacturing processes.
• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment to prevent and resolve operational issues.
• Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and quality control procedures to maintain a safe working environment and product integrity.
• Train, mentor, and support junior production operators to enhance team performance and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality assurance, and engineering teams to implement process improvements and resolve production challenges.
