GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The position offers the opportunity to be a senior engineer and work on a variety of growth initiatives in the electric vehicle space. The position requires passion for chassis system design: particularly suspension, supplier interactions, design and release of chassis systems, and participation as a key contributor in engineering projects.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Subject matter expert in 1 or more subsystems in mechanical vehicle architecture (motors, engines, CVTs, transaxles, frame, suspension, brakes, steering), with significant expertise in vehicle suspension.
- Develop and maintain vehicle, subsystem and component level mechanical specifications and qualification plan.
- Drive diligence and collaboration in requirements, risk analysis, DFMEA, DVP&R, engineering change notice and specifications.
- Employ project management methodologies that ensure a predictable outcome for department goals and responsibilities.
- Remove roadblocks and accelerate implementation of projects.
- Develop technology roadmaps and strategies that clearly articulate how we are going to continuously win in chosen markets.

- Able to evaluate a problem and develop several alternative solutions along with pros/cons of each.
- Understanding of level of detail required for implementation of potential solution (value of quick fix/containment vs. long term solution/corrective action).
- Understands the impact of potential solutions and makes recommendations accordingly.
- Able to anticipate unexpected delays and formulate contingency plans in the event delays materialize.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required
Expertise in following areas:
- Suspension system design
- Vehicle mechanical architecture
Experience:
- At least 7 years relevant experience.
- PTC Creo proficiency desired but not required.
