Position Description
This position has Engineering and Design responsibility for compressor Lubrication and Dry Gas Seal support systems that are being developed in accordance with the latest Industry standards. Upon completion of your Designs you will be overseeing the required acceptance tests.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Working knowledge of rotating equipment; aerodynamic performance, gas seals, bearings, vibration, rotordynamics, controls, testing, material science, and auxiliary support systems
Knowledge and interpretation of applicable industry standards (API-617, 692, 614, NEMA, ASME Pressure Vessel Code, AGMA, NACE, etc.)
Review of customer technical specifications and datasheets
Provide input into the design of the compressor/gearbox support systems; P&ID reviews, seal support systems, lubrication systems, noise attenuation, and compressor control
Detailed engineering of compressor / gearbox support systems in accordance with the latest API Standards (main & auxiliary drivers, heat exchangers, seal gas heaters, pumps, instruments, gages, surge control valves and systems, etc.)
Create bills of material
Provide direction to design/drafting resources
Conduct pre-release design reviews
Create and/or review and approve engineering drawings and documentation; seal gas and lube oil system data sheets, system layout drawings, build data sheets, quality/test reports, etc.
Disposition non-conforming parts
Provide engineering & troubleshooting support for assembly and testing activities
Drive engineering excellence and continuous improvement, including the creation of Engineering Standard Work
Stay abreast of new technology and adapt accordingly
Provide subject matter expertise to Application Engineering and Sales in winning new business
Manufacturing support, machine design, understanding of GD&T
Provide consultation to Field Service for start-up/commissioning and troubleshooting
Serve as a mentor to newer engineers entering the compressor group
Skills & Abilities Required
Self-motivated and highly organized
Excellent team player
Qualifications
B.S. Degree in Engineering, MS a plus
5-7 years of related engineering experience, including manufacturing, EPC’s, and/or oil and gas industry
Sound engineering judgment and decision-making skills
Travel to domestic or international customer and supplier sites required on a limited basis. Includes kickoff meetings, design review meetings, and HAZOP meetings.
Structural Design knowledge, FEA e.g. Ansys a plus.

Compensation Details
Annual Salary: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00Additional Compensation
Salary Range for this position: $90k-115k (the salary offered will be determined based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, and will be compared with internal equity along with market data for this position).Application Deadline:
