GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The position offers the opportunity to be a Mechanical Engineer and work on a variety of growth initiatives in the electric vehicle space. The position requires passion for chassis and powertrain system design, supplier interactions, design and release of chassis systems, and participate in projects in accordance with engineering excellence.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Subject matter expert in 1 or more subsystems in mechanical vehicle architecture (motors, engines, CVTs, transaxles, frame, suspension, brakes, steering).
- Develop and maintain vehicle, subsystem and component level mechanical specifications and qualification plan.
- Drive diligence and collaboration in requirements, risk analysis, DFMEA, DVP&R, engineering change notice and specifications.
- Employ project management methodologies that ensure a predictable outcome for department goals and responsibilities.
- Remove roadblocks and accelerate implementation of projects.
- Develop technology roadmaps and strategies that clearly articulate how we are going to continuously win in chosen markets.

- Understanding of level of detail required for implementation of potential solution (value of quick fix/containment vs. long term solution/corrective action).
- Understands the impact of potential solutions and makes recommendations accordingly.
- Able to anticipate unexpected delays and formulate contingency plans in the event delays materialize.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required
Expert in following areas:
- Chassis system design
- Vehicle mechanical architecture
Experience:
- 7+ years’ of relevant experience.
- PTC Creo proficiency desired but not required.
