As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions. You will drive collaboration with cross-functional teams, leverage technical strategy and best practices, and lead the successful execution of projects. In this role, you will further develop technical subject-matter expertise while contributing significantly to MFT’s growth and innovation.

What You’ll Do

  • Actively lead and / or participate in project teams focused on New Product Development, Continuous Product Improvement, or Feature Innovation.

  • Design commercial products and their subcomponents with specialization in sheet metal structures and cladding, and plastic components, structures, and cladding.

  • Lead problem solving activities using 8D methodology to identify root cause of issues and oversee development/implementation of a corrective action plan.

  • Utilize mathematical and computer-based engineering analyses to design innovative and reliable solutions.

  • Develop technical drawings, models, and specifications using Solidworks.

  • Conduct testing, collect and analyze data, and interpret test results to evaluate the performance, reliability, and safety of engineering solutions

  • Identify areas for improvement, troubleshoot technical issues, and propose and implement design modifications of existing product lines

  • Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, project managers, and stakeholders, to ensure project goals are met

  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements, industry trends, and technological innovations in a chosen subject matter

  • Actively participate in continuous learning and professional development activities, including attending training programs, workshops, and conferences.

Skills/Experience We’re Looking For

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of engineering principles and concepts

  • Proficiency in Solidworks CAD software or other engineering tools and applications

  • Knowledge of 8D or DMAIC problem solving principles and application.

  • Sheet metal design competency

  • Thermoformed and Injection Molded component design

  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to convey technical information clearly

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment



Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master's in Engineering or a related field

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in an engineering role

  • 3+ years of experience with commercial equipment, foodservice a plus
