Job Description

A high-growth, international OEM designing ground-up, complex custom automation and robotic cells for global market leaders across North America and Europe is hiring a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. You'll be one of five Lead Engineers in a 100% SolidWorks environment, with the unusual privilege of watching your mechanical designs get manufactured, wired and assembled on-site.

What you would do:

• Lead mechanical design integrity for high-speed, multi-axis automated machinery and robotic work cells
• Develop concepts and collaborate with Project Managers on cost-effective, high-performance automated solutions
• Break design scopes into milestones; guide internal detailers/designers and coordinate external fabrication partners
• Integrate fluid power and drive mechanics — hydraulics, pneumatics, servo systems
• Conduct early-stage design reviews for safety, pinch points and ergonomics before shop release
• Serve as technical contact for global clients; manage BOM engineering releases

What you need:

• BSME, or 5–10 years of verifiable ground-up custom equipment design experience
• Expert SolidWorks fluency modeling large assemblies and production-ready drawings
• Practical understanding of structural weldments (GMAW/GTAW), material selection, machine shop processes
• Local residency within a daily commute of Brown Deer / Northern Milwaukee County — no relocation assistance

Up to $120,000/yr based on experience. Onsite, Brown Deer, WI.
