Job Summary:
Raytheon has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Material Program Manager (SMPM) who will perform as a key member of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) organization and be responsible for leading Customer Proposal and Program Start-Up / Execution efforts onsite in our Portsmouth, Rhode Island location. You will be the liaison between the program office, engineering, operations, quality, contracts, finance and the supply chain organization and responsible to ensure the successful development, coordination and execution of all program requirements and material strategies are being met and Program/Product Line business objectives are achieved.
What You Will Do:
- Work closely with Program Management, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Engineering, Quality, Production Control and Procurement to ensure successful supplier management and execution in supporting program needs and requirements
- Develop and execute Material Strategies which support Customer requirements and meet Program objectives
- Generate Supplier Request for Proposals / Quotes (RFP’s / RFQ’s)
- Gate Review preparation and/or support
- Support Prime Contract Proposal activities for Suppliers and SCM BOE’s
- Identify Customer Prime Contract Flow-Downs and obtaining any required Terms Attachments (T-Attachments) and/or Modifications
- Obtain, understand and process Supplier proposals/quotes
- Assist with the generation of Supplier Statement of Work (SSOW’s)
- Generate and process Supplier New Add / Re-Activation requests
- Generate and manage SCM Material Sales, Estimate At Completion (EAC) and Risk & Opportunities
- Manage Over Purchase Requisition generation and Purchase Order placement
- Line of Balance (LOB) execution and maintenance
- Lead Make/Buy decisions and affordability efforts for program material
- Assist and/or Lead negotiations on Material with Suppliers and/or the Customer
- Prepare and execute Material Program Plans (MPPs)
- Participate in supplier engagements and reviews to ensure a healthy, effective, efficient and successful supply base
- Generate mitigations and/or resolving issues impacting/effecting all of the above
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
Qualifications We Prefer:
- MPM Certification
- Experience with Prime Contract Requirements and Statements of Work (SOW)
- Experience in a cross functional Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment managing multiple priorities
- Experience with Supplier Statements of Work (SOW)
- Experience with Supply Chain / Production Control / Procurement processes and requirements
- Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Estimating, proposal, negotiation and/or capture experience
- Meeting commitments, accomplishing goals & delivering results
- Experience interfacing with all levels of internal management, supplier management and the external customer

- Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
