Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer
Position Overview
Manufacturing Process Engineers are responsible for the execution of project work with manufacturing operations, focused primarily on process technology, new product process development, automation, and/or digital technology and deployment of engineered solutions to mitigate/ eliminate waste or process variation. Initially, this role will be dedicated to the support of new product development as a liaison between Manufacturing, Marketing, Engineering and Supply Chain. This position will be responsible to work within an environment of high uncertainty, requiring creative problem solving, a flexible approach, and utilization of risk mitigation techniques to accomplish project goals. It will be very critical that the candidate is self-motivated, can make decisions with little oversight and able to operate in an agile working environment.
Who you are and the experience you bring:
Develops project objectives and milestones based on a thorough understanding of the broader business and technology landscapes. Identifies technical, financial, and schedule-based constraints and risks. Employs project management best practices and tools. Monitors work plans to ensure that project is on time, within budget, and continuing to meet the business needs.
Takes calculated risks to meet challenging goals in support of strategic initiatives. Effectively communicates project status at all levels. Manages expectations by serving as the primary spokesperson for the project. Leads team meetings, provides status reports, and coordinates communication to provide clarity with key stakeholders and project team members.
Utilizes technicians or engineers as necessary to carry out specifically scoped projects but does not have formal supervisory responsibility. Advises and makes recommendations to management on technical aspects of projects.
Design tooling, fixtures, and workstations essential for new product introduction to the production cells.
Participate in the investigation and purchase of new equipment and tooling. Provide input into the equipment/ process technology roadmap.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
BS in engineering required
7+ years of experience in supporting Manufacturing operations or engineering project management with BS in Engineering or 6+ years of experience with MS degree in engineering.
A leader of project teams with well-developed, innovative hands-on project management skills and a broad business understanding.
Ability to influence and build buy-in to product/process changes and the investment of resources.
Knowledge of project tasking, analysis, recommendations, and implementation of changes toward process improvement will be required.
Acts as a facilitator or high contributor to kaizens through utilization of critical thinking and structured problem-solving methodologies.
Ability to interpret data and make process improvements through SPC (Statistical Process Control)

This is the base pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire.
Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors.
