The Role:

EPC Power is looking to add a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to our manufacturing team. As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will be working with the creative and technical forces behind the design and development team of new power conversion systems. Your knowledge of manufacturing processes, material tolerances, tooling, proactive strategic planning, complex problem-solving skills, and high-quality standards that will help us in the production of these systems. You will see how our creativity, passion, and outside-the-box thinking helps us take ideas from conception and bring them into reality in EPC’s manufacturing facility. This position requires solid interpersonal & team skills, demonstrated talent, a strong self-motivation and self-starting attitude, and an enthusiasm that starts within.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Manufacturing to implement or create processes, procedures, company policies, and maintain a safe work environment for all
  • Supervises the team to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Design and Implement automation programs and processes to improve efficiency and throughput
  • Monitor and improve machine processes, develop to create or improve work instructions and train employees
  • Work closely with the team to drive manufacturing work orders to a successful completion
  • Create and update routing and build slides
  • Launching work orders, resolving process issues, and evaluating components
  • Ability to work from verbal instructions
  • Interface with Engineering team for BOM management and wiring diagrams
  • Assist with a wide range of skilled repetitive mechanical assembly operations in support of production projects, and tool design
  • Performs clean-up, organization, and tool inventory activities
  • Assist in determining root cause and provide corrective action with customer product complaints

 

Requirements:

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline; preferably Manufacturing, or Mechanical
  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in manufacturing Electro-mechanical products in the power electronics and/or high voltage electrical equipment field
  • Knowledgeable with torque and calibration tools, fabrication processes like machining and sheet metal
  • Requires experience in manufacturing processes like BOM structures, ECOs, FMEA’s, 5S and Process Optimization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and self-starter able to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills to drive actions necessary to accomplish assigned tasks with a cross functional team
  • Ability to comprehend layout sketches/drawings of where to place components
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work alone, or in a team environment with a hands-on approach
  • ERP & data analysis experience is a plus
  • CREO or SolidWorks experience is a plus
  • Presents a professional, positive image that reflects well on the organization
  • Willing to travel when needed
