What You Will Be Doing
In this role you will be supporting the surface mount technology lines for the manufacture of circuit cards assemblies for 20+ programs. Your tasks will include the following:

• Developing and optimizing SMT processes for new and existing products
• Creating and maintaining process documentation, such as work instructions and standard operating procedures
• Maintaining and troubleshooting SMT equipment, such as pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and inspection systems
• Coordinating equipment repairs and maintenance with external vendors and internal teams
• Providing technical support to production teams to resolve issues and improve efficiency
• Collaborating with quality teams to investigate and resolve defects and quality issues
• Supporting the introduction of new products onto the SMT line, including process development, equipment setup, and training
• Ensuring smooth ramp-up of new products to meet production targets and quality standards
• Identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions
• Leading or participating in lean initiatives, and Six Sigma projects
• Planning and justifying capital equipment purchases to support production growth and process improvements
• Coordinating equipment installations and validations to ensure smooth integration into production
• Providing training and development opportunities for production teams to improve skills and knowledge
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to maintain expertise and share knowledge with others.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years experience required with a related Masters degree.

- Previous manufacturing experience

- This position will be located at a facility that requires special access and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen

Desired skills

- CCA manufacturing experience in accordance with specification IPC-A-610, J-STD-001
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with Windchill is preferred.
- Detail oriented personality
- Experienced with automated process equipment such as laser mark, solder printing, SPI, pick and place, AOI, AXI, fine tech, etc.
- Knowledge of Database Structures
- Understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles
- Experience with capital equipment acquisition

Ability to work remotely

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $81,600 - $143,865. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $93,800 - $162,610. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
