Job Overview:

Let's talk about the team and you:

Introduce new products, equipment and processes into production in compliance with ResMed quality management system requirements. On-going support of current production, including implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to achieve best in class operational measures of quality & efficiency.

Let's talk about Responsibilities

  • Implement manufacturing processes, equipment, facilities and documents to meet current and future production volume and delivery requirements.
  • Supports production by resolving technical issues as required.
  • Promote a safe working environment by following OH&S guidelines as well as implementing & closing out actions for the continual improvement of work place safety.
  • Represent manufacturing for respective PFT on new design project XFT, actively provide constructive technical feedback and recommendations to ensure robust, manufacturable product. Engage external supplier as appropriate. Understand project risk, develop contingencies, track milestones and deliver project outcomes on time.
  • Introduce & maintain production procedures.
  • Provide training on new equipment, processes & procedures as required.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior or new engineer, assist in organizing departmental activities as needed.
  • Complete process validation activities & documentation.
  • Identify & implement GMP, Six-Sigma LEAN improvement actions.
  • Assess and implement new processes, equipment and technologies for longer-term manufacturing requirements.
  • Acquire data and interpret through statistical analyses; partner with internal cross-functional teams to review data and provide recommendations on business process improvement opportunities.


Let's talk about Qualifications and Experience

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes & equipment for high volume production of diescrete products. Process validation skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, including technical reports.
  • Working with competing priorities of the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and the achievement of early new product launch, within a strict regulated Quality System environment.


Required

  • Mechanical aptitude with Tertiary qualifications in engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 to 5+ years of working experience


Preferred

  • Experience in volume manufacturing, medical industry would be ideal.
  • Experience in bringing new designs into production.
  • Experience with process validation within a regulated Quality System environment.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement, Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Hands on experience in basic troubleshooting / repairing of jigs, fixtures and equipment.
  • Experience in Data Analytics: technical understanding of XML, data models and database design. Capable of writing SQL queries, and experience with one or more analytics tools such as Tableau, Cognos Analytics or Power BI.

Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.

At ResMed, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is:

$113,000.00 - $171,000.00 USD Annual
