A day in the life…
As the Senior Manager of Product Supply, Plant Scheduling & Inventory Management, you will lead the Russell Stover centralized planning teams to drive synchronization of supply & deployment plans, reduce non-working inventories, and maximize customer service levels at the lowest Total Delivered Cost. In this role you will drive results through strong collaboration with cross-functional leadership within planning, sales, operations, procurement, customer supply chain, warehousing, and 3rd party distribution. As a leader, you must be a proactive, action-oriented business leader with the ability to solve complex problems and drive change within the organization.
With oversight of centralized supply & inventory management, you will ensure execution of the planning function operating strategy, instill a collaborative planning culture of continuous improvement to align supply and demand plans, and support material availability planning improvement initiatives. In addition, you will provide coaching and feedback to team members which challenge, motivate, and empower individuals to grow professionally. In this role you will report to the Senior Director of Supply Chain Planning.
What you will be doing…
- Leads talent management, professional development, and retention strategy for direct reports.
- Executes the Planning function operating strategy by leveraging available processes, technology, and organization structure.
- Responsible for the S&OP Supply Review and S&OE functions
- Coaches team for high performance to deliver expected financial goals and KPI achievements including, but not limited to; Excess FG Inventory, Customer Service Requirements, Achieving Schedule Attainment Targets, Minimizing Out of Network Shipping, and Supporting Initiatives to Reduce Unnecessary Overtime.
- Represents Supply Planning for Program Management Office (PMO) New Item projects.
- Develops robust processes and works to give employees the opportunity to master the processes and the tools of Supply Planning and Inventory Management.
- On an as-directed basis, balance network capacity for assigned & non-assigned LSNA brands.
- Leads efforts to improve/or research service and reduce excess inventory challenges.
- Develop KPIs to identify and support continuous improvement projects.
- Provide guidance & oversight of demand planning relating to DC forecast accuracy.
- Support effort to expand co-packing/3rd party manufacturing capabilities.
- Leads schedule attainment activities to ensure manufacturing achieves demand/financial needs.
- Leads plant scheduling teams to maximize production output and minimize unnecessary scheduling changes.
- Plans and executes tactical capacity allocations, cross-plant production coordination, resupply, etc. to maintain high customer service levels in the face of production challenges, unforecasted demand, liquidation efforts, engineering projects, etc.
- Facilitates monthly Rough-Cut Capacity outlook and schedule attainment reviews to ensure level loading/service is maximized.
- Identifies supply chain and business interdependencies in his/her work and coordinates as needed with other groups to drive customer fill rates at the lowest possible cost.
- Provides resources to support planning systems upgrades/process improvements.
Do you have what it takes?
(Basic Qualifications)
- Minimum 5 years of combined experience in Manufacturing Planning, Customer Services & Logistics, Supply Planning Demand Forecasting, Information Technology, Statistical Modeling, and/or Financial Planning
- Demonstrated proficiency with supply/demand planning concepts and systems
- MS Office skills with Excel and proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

(Preferred Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or Engineering
- Experience in CPG (fast-moving consumer goods), supply chain, forecasting, and/or logistics
- Manufacturing or Demand Planning Systems (APO/PPDS or IBP), SAP or similar ERP system; IBP/ PPDS experience highly preferred
- Strong Collaboration and Negotiating skills with both oral and written communication abilities
- Experience managing direct reports or leading teams
- Problem-solving mindset, analytical and ability to use data to drive decisions/processes
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work and influence across departments and levels within an organization
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and stressful situations effectively, adapt to changing priorities, and respond with urgency to requests while remaining focused on strategic imperatives.
- Strong systems acumen with the ability to adapt and apply
- SQL/KPI scorecard development and demonstrated ability to achieve results
