What you will do
We are seeking an experienced Materials Fulfillment Manager to join our growing team! This management role will report directly to the Executive Director, Planning & Materials. In this highly visible role, you will be responsible to build standard fulfillment process and operating cadences to ensure the on-time delivery of purchased material to support our production Clear to Build (CTB) for our manufacturing assembly operations across a dynamic supply chain. This role will work across our entire network of teams with dotted line reports of 12-14 in material planning, purchasing, procurement, engineering, operations, master scheduling & production control to identify material readiness risk, problem solve mitigation plans, internally and externally with suppliers, and communicate detailed recovery plans.
Manage & deliver plant summaries of CTB / material health risks across all commodities.
Lead and facilitate Critical Material Reviews (CMR), improving our cross-functional collaboration and tactical problem solving.
Clearly define standards of material escalation levels that serve as critical inputs to CMR cadences.
Drive accountability & process improvement to increase team utilization of existing tools / systems (SAP, LeanDNA, PowerBI) to enable better analytics and team efficiency.
Manage root-cause summaries through data analytics and provide value-add, critical inputs to our material planning & procurement functions to problem solve.
Influence team culture through positive, high energy servant leadership.
Provide leadership support, coaching and team development for fulfillment specialists.
How you will do it
Gain thorough understanding of business model, product lines and supply chain network.
Build cross-functional partnerships across material planning, purchasing, procurement, engineering, operations, master scheduling & production control to improve accurate communication & drive best-possible solutions.
Highlight key areas of opportunity by applying extensive data-driven analytics through existing tools / systems.
Review rigorous Line of Balance (LOB’s) by product line, supplier, part number etc.
Build standard operating systems through KPI creation, standard processes, and team / talent development.
Drive a problem-solving culture through technique coaching and servant leadership.
What we look for
Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 6-8 years of industry / functional experience.
Demonstrated ability to build teams through servant leadership and development / coaching of individual contributors.
Functional expertise in material fulfillment and supply chain.
Demonstrated ability to improve utilization of analytical tools / systems to increase team efficiency and standard processes.
Demonstrated ability to analyze supply & demand requirements (LOB) to identify material risk.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with external supply chain and simultaneously drive accountability to improve delivery against need.
Demonstrated ability to summarize, simplify and communicate complex messages to various levels, cross-functionally (up to VP / GM).
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint). SAP and LeanDNA
Ability to travel ~25%.
Preferred:
APICS Certification preferred.
