Position Summary:

The Senior Maintenance Technician, a position reporting to the Facilities Manager, performs or assists in the general maintenance and repair of physical structures of buildings, grounds, and maintenance equipment. Handles a wide range of responsibilities from HVAC and plumbing to vendor coordination and project support.

What will your day look like? At Aerotech, you will:

  • Perform minor repairs/routine preventative maintenance across building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical)
  • Inspect facilities and grounds on a daily basis to determine need and extent of repairs needed for any deficiency found and proactively makes proposal or prepares requisitions to make repairs in a timely manner
  • Respond to and troubleshoots urgent facility issues

Additional duties:

  • May assist contracted vendors or other departments as needed
  • May direct contracted projects to verify that work is satisfactorily completed
  • Maintains maintenance logs, inspection reports, and compliance records
  • Suggests and implements improvements to systems or processes
  • Ensures work is completed safely, in accordance with local codes and standards
  • Assists the Facilities Manager in coordinating outside vendors and contractors
  • As assigned

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, architectural drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

  • Ability to apply practical understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions

  • Knowledge to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations

  • Ability to use computer technology efficiently

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required

  • 5+ years in building or facilities maintenance

  • Must obtain/maintain a valid Class “C” Driver’s License, as well as scissor lift & forklift certifications

  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. Aerotech does not provide US work authorization sponsorship for this position. OPT and CPT visa holders are not eligible for employment if they will need work authorization sponsorship at any time in the future.
