Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing facilities, manufacturing equipment, and support systems to ensure efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have expertise across multiple trades, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to handle both routine and emergency maintenance.

What you’ll do:

As the Senior Maintenance Technician, your focus will be:

  • Preventative & General Maintenance – Perform scheduled maintenance on systems, manufacturing assets, and associated equipment. 
  • Repairs & Troubleshooting – Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing issues. Use meters and diagnostic tools to test and repair equipment. Adjust and monitor Building Automation System (BAS) settings.
  • Facility & Equipment Installation – Assist with the installation of machinery, electrical systems, and facility components. Support small construction projects, including carpentry, drywall, painting, and ceiling installations. Perform welding and metal cutting as needed.
  • Inventory & Documentation – Maintain accurate records using computerized work order systems. Track inventory of maintenance equipment and materials. Provide reports and recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements.
  • Safety & Compliance – Follow OSHA regulations and company safety standards. Train and mentor junior technicians on proper safety procedures. Assist with winter maintenance, including snow removal.
  • Project Management & Contractor Coordination – Plan, budget, and oversee small-scale facility improvement projects. Lead and collaborate with contractors and vendors as needed.
  • Emergency Support – Be available for on-call support outside of scheduled hours for urgent maintenance issues.

What we’re looking for:

  • Education & Experience – High school diploma or equivalent, plus vocational training or equivalent experience. Minimum 8 years in a commercial construction trade (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, masonry, carpentry, etc.). 
  • Technical Skills – Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general commercial facility maintenance. Ability to read blueprints, technical schematics, and use diagnostic tools. 
  • Safety & Compliance – Understanding of OSHA regulations, International Building Code (IBC), and National Electrical Code (NEC). Ability to train others on proper safety procedures. 
  • Technology & Tools – Basic computer skills, including CMMS software and minor BAS programming. Ability to use multimeters and amp meters for troubleshooting. 
  • Soft Skills – Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities. Ability to work independently and in a team. 
  • Other Requirements – Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license. Willingness to be on-call for emergencies (weekends and nights).

This position will require the successful completion of a standard background check and motor vehicle report in accordance with Restek policy. Employment with Restek will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
