Job Summary
The Shop Technician Level 3 is responsible for advanced diagnostics, repair, and rebuilding of drilling equipment. This role serves as a technical expert within the shop and supports complex operations while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Job Responsibilities: High School diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred. Minimum of 5+ years of experience with drilling equipment or oilfield tools. Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities. Strong understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and/or electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret complex schematics and technical documents.
Education Requirements: Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and rebuilds of drilling equipment. Lead complex jobs and ensure accuracy and efficiency of work. Provide technical guidance to lower-level technicians. Identify process improvements and recommend best practices. Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards. Maintain shop efficiency and workflow. Performs other duties as assigned by Management.
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle/feel objects; and reach with hands and arms. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will spend long hours standing and using tools. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may also have to lift items up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be inclined to inclement weather including, but not limited to, extreme heat and/or cool temperatures.
