Collins Aerospace is looking for a Senior Inventory Technician to be responsible for physical inventory movement supporting assembly operations. Senior Inventory Tech’s compile inputs and outputs in SAP from ordering, shipping and receiving materials and unload, receive and issue large aircraft components while working in a team environment. As a Senior Inventory Tech, you will label, stock, and retrieve parts in an accurate, timely manner and count, separate and deliver materials where needed.
You will also review items that are received or ready for shipment and prepare accompanying documents to make ready for inspection and shipment. You will be contributing to the final assembly of these parts for our customers, thus helping Collins Aerospace Aerostructures division to maintain its standing as one of the largest global suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and industrial products.
The position is working onsite at our Foley AL facility.
Work 1st shift hours (6:30am – 3pm) Monday – Friday
What You Will Do
Label, stock, and retrieve parts in an accurate, timely manner and count, separate and deliver materials where needed.
Count and verify parts against supplier packing slips and review for damage
Store inventory in automated vertical systems using various software platforms
Perform SAP transactions for goods movements
Prepare and verify requisition of stock items. Fill tilt bins, kanbans and stocks parts at Point of Use (POU)
Maintain awareness of production rates and part requirements
Work with Production Coordinators to support engineering changes to parts and BOM's
Perform cycle counts and clipboard counts while making appropriate inventory adjustments. Conduct research in ERP systems to reconcile inventory discrepancies
Use lean manufacturing tools to improve processes
Attend and influence Continuous Improvement events
Engage in 5S activities and ensure a FOD free inventory environment. Conduct DIVEs and report out to leadership
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications you must have
Typically requires a HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
Experience Utilizing SAP/ERP or other inventory management systems.
Experience in Material Handling, receiving and shipping, inventory management.
Lean/CI, CORE/Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing experience.
Qualifications we prefer
(CORE)Associate certification preferred.
APICS CPIM training/certification preferred.

The salary range for this role is 43,400 USD - 82,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
