We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a growing engineering team supporting industrial, food and beverage, and process manufacturing facilities.
This role combines hands-on electrical engineering, project management, and client interaction. The ideal candidate has strong experience with industrial power distribution, electrical design, and plant infrastructure and can independently manage projects from initial planning through installation and commissioning.
Lead electrical engineering projects from initial scope and budgeting through design, installation, commissioning, and project closeout.
Design and develop electrical load summaries, one-line diagrams, conduit and conductor schedules, cable tray layouts, and electrical equipment layouts.
Manage project budgets, schedules, resources, risks, and deliverables.
Serve as the primary technical contact for clients and coordinate with project teams, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
Conduct facility audits and support electrical system assessments.
Perform or support arc flash studies and ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes and standards.
Prepare project documentation, technical specifications, equipment requests for proposal (RFPs), and progress reports.
Identify project changes and assess their impact on costs, schedules, and deliverables.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and project closeout reviews.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience in industrial, process manufacturing, or similar environments.
Strong understanding of industrial power distribution and plant electrical infrastructure.
Hands-on experience developing electrical load studies, one-line diagrams, electrical layouts, and related engineering documentation.
Proficiency with AutoCAD MEP and experience with electrical power analysis software such as ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower.
Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Experience managing engineering projects, including budgets, schedules, and client communications.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and make sound technical decisions.
Willingness to travel domestically approximately 25% of the time, typically for 2–4 days per trip.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
OSHA-10 certification.
Experience in food and beverage manufacturing, industrial engineering, or bulk material handling.
Experience with arc flash studies, electrical commissioning, and industrial facility audits.
Familiarity with plant utility systems, including pumping, compressed air, refrigeration, and water treatment.
We are seeking a technically strong, organized, and client-focused engineer who can take ownership of electrical engineering projects, solve practical plant infrastructure challenges, and deliver quality work on schedule and within budget.
If you have a strong industrial electrical engineering background and enjoy combining technical design with project leadership, we'd like to hear from you.
