We're partnering with a respected employee-owned multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm to find a Senior Electrical Designer / Electrical Engineer for its Newport Beach, California office. This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced professional with a background in K-12, higher education, healthcare, and other institutional building projects who enjoys working in a collaborative consulting environment.
Senior Electrical Designer / Electrical Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop building electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and related infrastructure for education, healthcare, commercial, and institutional projects.
- Prepare and coordinate construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD while collaborating with architects, contractors, owners, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Support projects through design and construction, including RFIs, field coordination, technical problem-solving, and client interaction.
Senior Electrical Designer / Electrical Engineer
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of electrical engineering or electrical design experience focused on building systems and power distribution.
- Strong experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and construction document production for education, healthcare, commercial, or institutional facilities.
- Experience with California projects, including DSA, HCAI/OSHPD, Title 24, and applicable electrical codes. PE license, SKM, and ETAP experience are highly desirable.
