Senior HVAC & Building Automation Service Technician

They’re seeking senior-level HVAC and Building Automation Service Technician with 5+ years of experience to troubleshoot complex commercial systems, deliver quality service, and build strong customer relationships. Ideal candidates are independent problem-solvers who take ownership and enjoy expanding their expertise in HVAC controls and automation.

Essential Functions and Duties:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment and mechanical systems
• Troubleshoot and optimize BAS/BMS, DDC controls, sensors, actuators, controllers, alarms, trends, schedules, and setpoints
• Identify root causes of system issues and implement effective, lasting solutions
• Interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, control schematics, sequences of operation, and technical manuals
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, functional testing, commissioning, and startup support as needed
• Communicate findings and recommendations to customers while accurately documenting service work and collaborating with technicians and internal teams

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC, building automation, controls, or related field experience
• Proven ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex HVAC, electrical, and controls issues
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, control schematics, and technical documentation
• Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and ability to work safely in commercial/industrial environments, including after-hours coverage
• Experience with BAS/BMS, DDC controls, HVAC control systems, BACnet/Modbus, or major automation platforms preferred; EPA 608 certification or relevant trade credentials a plus
