What your day will look like:- Own end-to-end fabrication of custom extrusion dies, from raw material selection through CNC machining and final grinding of seating surfaces

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes and mills using Mastercam (conversational and full CNC) to hold tight tolerances on one-off parts

  • Program, set up, and operate Fanuc Wire EDM to produce complex die geometries and perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting

  • Collaborate with Engineering to review drawings, improve manufacturability, and support custom tooling development

  • Serve as senior troubleshooting resource for production, performing emergency die repairs and modifications with limited or no blueprints

  • Use manual mills and lathes for quick-turn repairs, secondary operations, and overflow CNC work

  • Mentor junior machinists while supporting shop maintenance, inventory control, and preventative maintenance programs

  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized work environment while ensuring compliance with quality standards

  • Demonstrate professionalism and positive teamwork in all interactions with coworkers, supervisors, managers, and customers

What we are looking for:- High school diploma or GED required.

  • 5+ years of hands-on CNC setup, programming, and machining experience.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial machine controls and multi-axis CNC equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to develop efficient manufacturing processes.
  • Proficient in the use of precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, bore gauges, indicators, calipers, and optical comparators.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret safety procedures, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and technical documents.
  • Strong understanding of basic and advanced mathematical concepts, including geometry, trigonometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
