JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Support vendor sourcing, management, contract negotiation, and procurement planning to ensure seamless operations and alignment with company goals.
• Assist in designing and implementing procurement strategies to enhance cost, quality, and efficiency and mitigate risk throughout the supply chain.
• Examine procurement data and market trends to uncover opportunities for cost savings and efficiency gains, while upholding quality and service standards.
• Engage in competitive negotiations to implement cost reduction strategies with the global supply chain, ensuring capacity and quality standards are satisfied.
• Manage supplier contracts and long-term agreements with selected suppliers to ensure alignment with market trends, supplier performance, and future business requirements.
• Identify opportunities to achieve goals related to reducing supplier base, creating value, enhancing the supply chain, and improving customer satisfaction.
• Manage sourcing events across various categories crucial for achieving cost savings targets.
• Seek out and lead competitive bidding opportunities.
• Support and administer tooling logistics programs, including operations coordination, planning, maintenance, and dispatching.
• Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and other key stakeholders to promote data-driven purchasing decisions that improve productivity and profitability.
• Identify, assess, and nurture relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and agreements to obtain favorable terms and ensure supplier performance aligns with company standards.
• Support efforts to refine purchasing processes, standardize procurement policies, and upgrade purchasing systems to optimize operations and ensure compliance.
• Contribute to a results-focused, data-driven culture within the purchasing team, and may mentor junior buyers.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, company policies, and industry best practices regarding procurement and supplier management.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma techniques to enhance processes in purchasing, supplier management, and cost control.

QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES):
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field required.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Committed to achieving high performance and success.
• Ability to successfully manage complexity and multiple priorities.
• Ability to analyze complex data sets, distill key insights into action, and create compelling business recommendations.
• Knowledge of planning, programming, budgeting, and executing purchasing and supply chain programs.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
• Availability to travel up to 50% of the time
