Parsons has been involved in improving transportation infrastructure in Canada since 1964. With a portfolio of more than 4,500 crossings around the world, we’ve delivered landmark bridges that carry pedestrians, roads, railways, and pipelines. We are looking for an experienced senior bridge construction inspector to support our bridge construction projects in Alberta. You will be supporting bridge and structures construction projects throughout Alberta with a focus on projects for major clients including Alberta Transportation, City of Edmonton and City of Calgary. This position requires a solid track record of bridge construction inspection and administration assignments for bridges and structures delivered through design-bid-build and design-build projects and requires familiarity with Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors and/or major municipal standards and project delivery methods.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
With minimal supervision, independently performs all aspects of bridge construction and contract administration assignments including development of plans, schedules, contracts, and procedures for an assigned project, or a designated area of a large project. Maintains accurate site records and leads the preparation and submission of project reports. Demonstrates expertise in applying engineering theories and general industry practices to resolve difficult problems encountered in the field. Provides leadership, mentorship and functional guidance to junior staff in similar roles. Willingness to relocate to construction site locations is expected.

Requires proficiency in engineering and construction-related processes, as well as industry practices. Also requires excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as demonstrated leadership skills. In addition, familiarity with CAD and other software packages typically associated with engineering and construction is required, and the proven ability for performing in a lead capacity on a project.
