As a Senior Automation QA Engineer on the Resupply team, you will play a key role in defining, implementing, and evolving our quality assurance and test automation strategy. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll partner closely with Engineering Managers, Software Engineers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality is built into every stage of the software development lifecycle.

You will drive the adoption of scalable automation frameworks, establish testing best practices, and provide technical guidance across teams. In addition to developing automated test solutions, you'll be expected to perform manual testing when needed, helping the team maintain high-quality releases while balancing speed and reliability.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about modern test automation, enjoys influencing engineering practices, and is comfortable operating both strategically and tactically.

What You'll Do

• Define and help execute the overall test automation strategy for the SNAP platform.
• Partner with Engineering Managers and development teams to establish quality goals, testing standards, and automation best practices.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable end-to-end, integration, API, and UI automation frameworks using Playwright.
• Identify opportunities to increase automation coverage and improve testing efficiency across multiple applications and services.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and ensure quality gates are implemented throughout the release process.
• Collaborate with developers to improve testability, observability, and overall product quality.
• Participate in architecture and design discussions to ensure quality considerations are incorporated early in the development process.
• Analyze testing metrics and provide recommendations to improve release confidence and reduce defects.
• Lead root cause analysis efforts for quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Execute manual testing and exploratory testing activities when automation is not practical or during critical release periods.
• Mentor other QA engineers and developers on automation techniques, testing strategies, and quality engineering practices.
• Work closely with Product, Support, and Customer-facing teams to understand business requirements and customer workflows.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing automation frameworks using Playwright.
• Programming experience with C#/.NET.
• Experience testing modern web applications, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and quality engineering principles.
• Experience developing and executing automation strategies across multiple teams or products.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and influence engineering teams without direct authority.
• Experience mentoring engineers and driving adoption of quality best practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code testing practices.
• Experience validating infrastructure deployments and DevOps pipelines.
• Experience with test data management and environment management strategies.
• Knowledge of performance testing, security testing, and observability platforms.
• Experience working in highly regulated healthcare or SaaS environments.
• Previous experience serving as a Test Automation Lead, QA Lead, or Quality Engineering Lead.
