Job Overview:

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Analyst or Senior Analyst, Commercial Operations (Customer Coordination) is responsible for the day-to-day commercial activities associated with Cheniere’s long-term LNG sales and terminal use contracts. These activities include developing and updating an integrated schedule for LNG deliveries and/or receipts, communicating with Cheniere’s long-term LNG customers, ensuring compliance with Cheniere’s LNG contracts while achieving Cheniere’s commercial goals, updating scheduling and transactions systems, and preparing regulatory reports.

The position requires an individual with good business sense, an ability to analyze and implement complex commercial agreements and operational circumstances, strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively internally and externally, and strong analytical capabilities.

RESPONSIBLITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Supports LNG Delivery Plan and Daily Transactions 

  • Assist in the development, execution and continuous optimization of an integrated schedule for delivery and/or receipt of LNG, referred to as the Annual Delivery Plan (ADP) and Ninety Day Schedules (NDS). 
  • Track actuals and projections on LNG production, terminal storage positions and the delivery obligations of LNG to risk assess the schedule.
  • Ensure all transactions are updated timely and accurately in relevant operational and commercial systems.
  • Communicate with customers regarding cargo scheduling, shipping, and other contractual items.

Contract Management 

  • Ensure that contract terms, commitments and obligations such as notices, invoices, studies and analyses, etc. are adhered to at a high standard and completed in a timely manner.
  • Research customer questions and inquiries in an effective and timely manner
  • Work cross-functionally across other groups within Cheniere to develop solutions and resolve disputes

KNOWLEDGE

The occupant of this role is expected to have an in-depth business acumen and operational sense, and an ability to quickly understand and evaluate complex information in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate has comprehensive knowledge of or exposure to contract management, customer relationship management or operations, preferably within the LNG industry.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Education and Certifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business or a technical field.
  • Experience:
    • Analyst: 3+ years relevant experience in a maritime function, transaction management, Energy-related analytical or scheduling function, or contract and customer management.
    • Senior Analyst: 5+ years relevant experience in a maritime function, transaction management, Energy-related analytical or scheduling function, or contract and customer management.
  • Skills:
    • Knowledge and experience with contracts related to LNG, natural gas, or energy services 
    • Strong communication skills (verbal, written) 
    • Capable of assessing complex and differing needs of customers; ability to build and maintain relationships
    • Ability to prioritize effectively and multi-task when necessary 
    • Ownership of and follow-through on commitments, with a demonstrated ability and desire to continuously improve 
    • Ability to work effectively on short notice and off hour
    • Spanish, Mandarin, or Korean fluency or proficiency is a plus 
    • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel

None 

FREEDOM TO ACT

Operates independently within approved guidelines, and with minimum supervision.  Delivers pertinent information in a timely manner to management.

WORK CONDITIONS

  • Job is performed in a typical office environment and at times is subject to time pressures and constraints.
  • Successful execution of job duties require candidate to be in the office during early morning hours to align with meeting and planning obligations.  Occasionally, work may have to be performed from home after normal work hours or on weekends. 
  • Frequent travel to the Sabine Pass and Corpus Christi terminal is required. Occasional international travel to may also be required.
