Job Summary:
Under moderate supervision, provides support for month-end closing requirements including fixed assets, intercompany, journal entries, financial reporting and closing requirements. Acts as a liaison between multiple departments to resolve issues or answer inquiries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs senior accounting functions including monthly account reconciliations, monitoring monthly accruals and preparing journal entries in order to ensure proper reporting financials.
- Maintains and analyzes fixed asset ledger in order to ensure purchases are classified properly and fall within budget.
- Support monthly and quarterly KPI creation and monitoring.
- Lead the annual fixed asset count accordingly.
- Review and approve purchase requisitions for Fixed Asset.
- Ensures internal controls are operating correctly with the goal of zero deficiencies through JSOX auditing.
- Investigates and analyzes accounting and financial related data in order to reconcile and audit information.
- Perform complex fixed asset reconciliation and assists in financial reporting activities in order to ensure proper recording of transactions.
- Assists with process improvement activities including maintaining and implementing internal controls.
- Acts as a liaison between internal departments and other DENSO locations in order to resolve outstanding issues.
- Assist on internal and external audit.
- Performs monthly financial reporting as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to discuss or transmit primarily factual information to internal and external customers in the normal course of performing duties
- Strong analytical skills to investigate, interpret and reconcile information from several distinct sources in situations where conclusions or resolutions are discernible
- Customer service skills to display a service-oriented attitude in addressing and responding to customer issues
- Intermediate understanding of accounting principles
- Fixed Asset Software (e.g. Sage, Oracle, SAP, etc.)

- Intermediate system knowledge in Accounting
- Ability to take ownership of financial statements
- Advanced skills in Excel (e.g. Vlookups, sumifs, pivot table, etc.)
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience working in Automotive or Manufacturing industries preferred
- Experience working at a public accounting firm in an assurance or similar line of practice
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/Accounting systems (Oracle experience is a plus)

Annual Salary: $68,000 - $85,000
